RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION NAMES PACIFIC
SEAFOOD’S FRANK DULCICH PURVEYOR OF THE YEAR
Annual Industry Award Highlights Best in Service
Portland,
Ore. – Sept. 17, 2008 –
Frank
Dulcich, president of Pacific Seafood, a family owned seafood company
based in Portland, Ore., was named Purveyor of the Year by the Oregon
Restaurant Association (ORA) at the organization’s annual industry
awards banquet on Sept. 14. Dulcich
was recognized by the ORA for outstanding leadership, success and
dedication to the food service industry.
“Frank Dulcich is a model purveyor and we are proud to highlight his
success and contribution to the ORA as well as his leadership within
our community,” said ORA chair Joe Benneti. “We take this
recognition very seriously and only award it when someone meets our
specific criteria.”
The Purveyor of the Year award is determined by the ORA’s board of
directors and is awarded to an individual who is active in the
association, has made contributions to both the community and the
industry and who has high business ethics.
While the success of their own business is important, their
contribution to the growth and success of
Oregon
’s restaurant industry and its members is what determines the
selection.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by the ORA for Pacific
Seafood’s contribution to
Oregon
’s restaurant industry,” said Dulcich.
“We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest
quality, sustainable and local seafood, and are proud to partner with
our friends in the restaurant industry to ensure excellence every step
of the way. We appreciate the business and support of all involved in
the restaurant industry. ”
Dulcich, a third generation company leader, developed the Pacific
Seafood’s Diamond Philosophy, a leadership philosophy which guides
the overall business practices and supports the company’s mission of
Operational Excellence. In addition to being a supportive member of
the ORA, Dulcich was previously chairman and is a current member of
the Young Presidents’ Organization. He is also an active member of
C.E.O. and serves on the executive committee and board for the
National Fisheries Institute.
Performing all operations from dock to dinner table, Pacific
Seafood processes West Coast products—from Alaska to Mexico—and
owns and operates distribution facilities throughout Washington,
Oregon, California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada and Utah.
