Night Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY

 

 

 

Purpose.........

To supervise night crew and assure the trucks are loaded correctly and completely for next day delivery. 

Scope............

Responsible for the accuracy of packing of orders.

 

Required........

 

Must have and present solid leadership skills while using the company’s Diamond Philosophy.  Must be team-oriented with excellent communication skills. 

 

 

DUTIES

 

Typical...........

Duties include but not limited to:

Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times

Properly run and organize all pick tickets and batch pick tickets nightly

 

Oversee the packing of orders for customers, assuring all products are loaded on trucks correctly

 

Maintain plant safety

 

Maintain vacation schedule planning

 

Make sure orders are picked for accuracy as per pick ticket

 

Expense management and asset protection  

 

Assign tasks to employees, when needed

 

Accurately fill pick tickets

 

Drive forklift

 

Put filled orders on pallet and seal when necessary

 

Attend meetings

 

Train team members to assure proper work zone coverage

 

Perform other duties, as assigned

EXPERIENCE

 

Required........

Two years of warehouse operations in a supervisory position desired.  Must know how to operate a forklift and read, speak and write English. Must have knowledge of the seafood industry.  Familiar with safe lifting/material handling practices and knowledge of H.A.C.C.P. and S.S.O.P. standards/compliance.  Proficiency in MS Office is also mandatory.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Usual.............

Mixed warehouse and office environment.  Utilizes forklift, pallet jack, delivery truck,  computer, calculator, phone and other equipment.

Special...........

Frequent cold, wet and humid plant conditions.
