Commitment to Our Team Members

As an equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate based on race, national origin, color, sex, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, military status, or marital or family status. Pacific Seafood does not require workers or job seekers to pay any recruitment fees or related costs to secure a job.

We only hire team members legally permitted to work in the US (or in Canada for our Canadian location) with verifiable identification documents. All Pacific Seafood owned facilities and vessels are in full compliance with U.S. and local labor laws including, but not limited to underage workers. Women in employee housing are provided with private living accommodations. We do not restrict workers’ freedom of movement and do not retain the personal documents of any employee.

Safe Working Environment

All of our workers are trained in injury and accident prevention, job safety, and workers’ compensation rights. All team members are provided safety and health training tailored to their position and the specific risks of their work environment. All are provided with appropriate personal protective equipment to prevent or minimize risks on-the-job. All team members must comply with our internal Accident Prevention Policy.

We provide training for all team members on equipment that has potential health risks to expectant mothers and reinforce with posted signage.

Overtime Policy

Pacific Seafood workers are not required to work more than 48 hours in a regular work week. Overtime work is paid at a premium pay, and our managers are flexible with team member schedules and do not require team members to work overtime if they cannot work the extra hours. Our management team is trained, and during peak season it is reiterated, that it is not mandatory to work extra hours and to remain flexible with team member schedules to keep a good work life balance.

Gender Equality

Pacific Seafood is committed to gender equality throughout our operations. We review our workforce yearly to assess the representation and set goals and implement plans to increase the gender equality in our workforce across the organization, including at all locations and among all job categories.
