Now a Portland staple for locals and visitors in the know, Pacific Fish & Oyster started as the true American dream when Frank Dulcich Sr. arrived in the United States from Croatia in 1921. He saw the opportunity to bring the freshest and healthiest protein on the planet, found along the Oregon coast, to Portland restaurants and residents. After years of building up his business by selling products from the back of his car, Frank Sr. opened Pacific Fish & Oyster on Powell Street in Portland, Oregon in 1941. His son, Dominic Dulcich, joined the family business soon after, welcoming customers with a joke and smile for more than half a century until his passing in 2023.
What started as a local fish market in the heart of Portland has grown to provide West Coast seafood products to restaurants and retailers across the US and even the world. Pacific Seafood is led by Frank Dulcich Jr., Frank Sr.’s grandson, and is headquartered just 20 minutes east of Portland in Clackamas, Oregon with operations up and down the West Coast.
Pacific Fish & Oyster remains owned and operated by the Dulcich family, offering the best quality fresh and frozen products the West Coast has to offer to the Portland community and welcomed visitors.
