Known as a delicacy in Japan, Pacific Seafood’s Black Cod is wild caught off the West Coast of the United States and Canada in the icy waters of the Pacific Ocean and is certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council. Before being processed at our state-of-the-art facilities, our Black cod is harvested by hook and line or trawl catch methods, then frozen using a specialty hanging method to ensure the fish belly remains open and full. Most recognized for its glowing opaque black coloring, Black Cod is a velvety white fish, prized for its natural buttery flavor. Pacific Seafood’s Black Cod comes in a variety of product forms including whole round and J-cut, as well as, fresh or frozen for convenience.
