Pacific Seafood named one of the healthiest employers in Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oct. 13, 2011 – Pacific Seafood is proud to announce that it has been selected by the Portland Business Journal's Healthiest Employers program as Oregon's eighth healthiest employer in 2011 in the 1500+ employee category. The mission of the Healthiest Employer program is to reward companies who are demonstrating innovation and leadership in their wellness program.

Pacific's innovative wellness program includes services such as state-of-the-art annual biometric screenings, professional onsite massage therapy and physician visits, subsidized healthy food lunch options and multiple health plan options.

Using a combination of diet and exercise, I reduced my total cholesterol 40 points, improved my good cholesterol 30 points, reduced my body fat by 8%, lowered my heart rate, and reduced my triglycerides by 97 points. My coworkers used to laugh when I ate salads and fruit--now they are following suit, making healthier choices and skipping fast food. It's exciting how we all support each other in achieving our wellness goals.
