Pacific Seafood partners with Widmer Brothers Brewing on Cloyster stout

PORTLAND, Ore. – April 17, 2012 – On Saturday, April 21st, Pacific Seafood will join Widmer Brothers Brewing as they debut their new Cloyster Stout at a special tasting held at their Gasthaus Pub, 955 North Russell Street in Portland. Widmer partnered with Pacific Seafood’s Bay City Oyster Company to create this limited release brew by adding whole oysters and oyster liquor during the brewing process. The tasting will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and is running in conjunction with Portland’s Cheers to Belgian Beers event.

Attendees of the tasting will get to try the beer alongside its star ingredient, the Pacific Oyster, as Pacific’s Bay City Oyster Company will be on hand serving up oyster shooters. The Fish Peddler, Pacific Seafood’s Oregon Coast seafood market and restaurant will be serving the Cloyster Stout this summer at their location in Bay City during its limited release. The Fish Peddler restaurants were recently given a makeover that included new menus, new logo and a new look for both the Bay City and Newport locations.
