Salmolux Smoked Seafood line launched with New Name & New Packaging

PORTLAND, Ore. – May 31, 2012 – Salmolux, located in Federal Way, WA, processor of quality smoked and gourmet seafood products since 1986, recently launched an all new redesigned brand and packaging line. The Sea Passion® brand is already getting notice in the marketplace with a new look highlighting the Salmolux traditional, quality process with an eye catching, contemporary look. This line will be packed in retail and food service offerings, including herring, spreads and all hot and cold smoked seafood.

Sea Passion® will be launching new products in the market including hot and cold smoked Steelhead from parent company Pacific Seafood’s own farm on the Columbia River.

“The initial launch of the Sea Passion brand was well received in the marketplace and some store sales showed a noticeable increase,” says Bob O’Bryant, Pacific Seafood Marketing Director. “Our packaging needed an update and I believe we have captured not only the character of our quality and tradition, but a look that will attract new consumers to our line of products.”

Salmolux was purchased by Pacific Seafood in late 2009 from the Kuetgens family who were the company founders. Salmolux is vertically integrated and sources only the finest, premium wild and farmed seafood from around the world.
