Tillamook County Fair

PORTLAND, Ore. – August 3, 2012 – The 2012 Tillamook County Fair kicks off on Wednesday, August 8th and Bay City’s The Fish Peddler @ Pacific Oyster will once again be on hand again this year offering up some of the freshest, most delicious seafood found on the Oregon Coast! The fair runs through Saturday, August 11th at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds in Tillamook County and is open 10 am to 10 pm daily.

This year Pacific Oyster and The Fish Peddler will be doing a larger event with Seafood demos by Pacific Seafood’s corporate chef, Gary Puetz, otherwise known as The Seafood Steward, along with his son Matt. Among the offerings that will be available — BBQ’d and Raw Oysters, Shrimp and Crab Cocktails, Shrimp and Crab Melts, Clam Chowder, Steamed Clams and Salmon on a Stick.

The Fish Peddler is a popular Oregon Coast restaurant and seafood market offering daily fresh seafood specials and other local fare. Located within the Pacific Oyster Company’s production facility, which features a public viewing area where guests can enjoy observing the busy oyster line in action, the Fish Peddler was named in Coastal Living magazine as one of America’s Best Seafood Dives 2012.
