¼ cup thinly sliced Shiso leaf (or green onion)
3 tbsp seaweed, Limu or Ogo, lightly chopped
1 tbsp Kukui nut, roasted and ground
1 tsp Hawaiian sea salt
⅓ cup chopped Maui or Walla Walla Sweet onion
1 lb Yellowfin tuna – Buy Now!
¼ cup Japanese soy sauce
1 tbsp + 1 tsp Mirin
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
1-2 tsp tobanjan (chile bean sauce)
1 tsp granulated sugar
½ tsp fresh finely minced ginger
- Mix the dressing ingredients in a bowl with a whisk until sugar is fully dissolved. Toss poke ingredients together (excluding kukui) until mixed thoroughly, then add dressing. Again toss gently until fully coated. Let marinade for 5 minutes. Serve chilled over warm sticky rice and garnish with kukui nut.
