Pacific Seafood becomes the first company to offer 4-star BAP-certified steelhead. Frank Sr. and his son, Dominic open Pacific Fish & Oyster on Powell Street. Pacific Seafood becomes the first and only company to offer 4-star BAP-certified oysters. First processing facility in Warrenton, Oregon opens. 3000+ TEAM MEMBERS 40 FACILITIES Pacific Seafood’s humble beginnings date to 1921 when founder, Frank Dulcich Sr., arrived in Portland, Oregon, from Croatia. He would purchase fish on the Oregon coast and sell to smaller fish shops and restaurants. It was 1941 when Frank Sr. and his son Dominic opened their first retail store, Pacific Fish & Oyster, on Powell Street in Portland, Oregon. After more than 80 years, the store is still open to the public. In 1983, Pacific Seafood began to expand, starting with the company’s first processing facility in Warrenton, Oregon. Since then, Pacific Seafood has grown to more than 40 facilities in the United States and Canada with more than 3,000 team members, selling products throughout the world.
