About Pacific Seafood Sustainability Food Safety Environment Support Our People & Communities Fitness Fleet - Wellness Program At Pacific Seafood we know healthy employees are productive employees. As such, we work hard to foster a culture of health and wellness through a robust Wellness Program, Fitness Fleet, led by a team member driven committee and a wellness professional with annual participation rates over 60%. Our corporate headquarters regularly offers wellness challenges, wellness focused lunch and learn sessions, and full-time access to an onsite wellness professional. We also offer healthy eating options in our break room cafe and at company gatherings. The result is that the company has been recognized three times by the Portland Business Journal as one of the Healthiest Employers of Oregon. The award was based on such criteria as leadership’s commitment to wellness, long-term strategic plans for wellness, and effective and engaging wellness programs. Choose to be Safe - Safety Program We live by the motto “Choose to be Safe” and our safety programs are a top priority. Our Safety Director is a member of our business driver team and is supported by a team of safety coordinators, administrators, champions, leaders, and managers. Programs such as the safety recognition program, monthly safety champion training, annual safety champion conference, and fiscal period safety scorecards have been instrumental in developing and promoting a robust safety culture. These efforts have significantly reduced Pacific Seafood’s total incident rate and OSHA citation expenses, and has even decreased the company’s net cost of injuries by over 61%. In addition, 9 of our operating companies have maintained their zero injury record for all four quarters of this fiscal year and 13 locations were successful in maintaining their Total Incident Rate below the industry average of 6.8.
