41 SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY VALUE CREATION AND QUALITY SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES SUPPORTING OUR TEAM MEMBERS From 2021 to now, Pacific Seafood experienced a drastic drop in on-the-job-related injuries. We continue to remain below the industry average while creating a safe work environment and promoting a new system to encourage team members to report any injuries. Heat Illness Prevention and Wildfire Smoke Safety Programs and Training On-the-Job Injury Data In 2023, with the increased prevalence of high-heat environments and wildfires, Pacific Seafood implemented annual Heat Illness Prevention and Wildfire Smoke Safety Programs and Training. These programs teach team members how to recognize the symptoms of and prevent heat and wildfire smoke-related illnesses that are increasingly becoming more common in many of the locations where Pacific Seafood operates. By implementing these preventative measures, we can ensure team members working in areas prone to extreme temperatures and wildfires can continue to work safely.
