Pacific Seafood CSR Report 2023

44 SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY VALUE CREATION AND QUALITY SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES SUPPORTING OUR TEAM MEMBERS WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP At Pacific Seafood we recognize the discrepancies in female leadership positions throughout the seafood industry. According to a 2018 survey by the international nonprofit, Women in the Seafood Industry, 61% of women reported gender inequalities, compared to 38% of men, while the International Organization for Women in the Seafood Industry (WSI) found in 2020, 14% of top positions (executives and board) were held by women. Pacific Seafood is working to close those gaps and uplift more women into leadership roles through training, development, and mentoring opportunities. We believe a diverse and inclusive workplace allows for a variety of perspectives and experiences that are needed for innovative problem-solving, productivity, and an overall successful work environment. Average Years of Service for Female Team Members Total Company 6 YEARS Women Making Waves In 2023, to show our commitment to the growth of our female team members, Pacific Seafood launched our Women Making Waves program at select locations.
