Swai
Pangasius hypophthalmusAs a member of the catfish family, swai is grown on farms throughout Southeast Asia, mostly Vietnam. Swai has a sweet mild taste and light flaky texture that can be broiled, grilled, or coated with bread crumbs and fried. It can be prepared simply, but also takes well to sauces. Swai is increasing in popularity as an inexpensive fish with a broad appeal and makes a great alternative to catfish or tilapia.
